Megan Thee Stallion is gushing over her friendship with Cardi B and GloRilla.
The rap superstar recently sat down with Billboard, where the subject of Cardi and Glo came up. The trio famously united onstage at Madison Square Garden, which was a moment Meg cherishes.
“It was a little East Coast-Southern sandwich we had going on. I was very happy. I genuinely love Cardi. I genuinely love Glo,” she shared.
Meg also praised both women, particularly their lack of cattiness in their bonds. The Hot Girl Summer star acknowledges that rap can be rivalrous, but the friendship between the ladies is genuine.
“In the industry, you really don’t meet a lot of girls who want to see you be successful. You meet people, and I’m not just going to say girls, but you don’t meet a lot of artists that want you to have success because they’re scared sometimes it’s going to take away from their success. Music is competition, rap is a competition, but those two ladies, I feel like we all like to see each other do good things. We like to see each other win,” the 29-year-old explained.
The Houston star grew close to Cardi while working on their 2020 hit, “WAP.” As far as GloRilla, she became pals with the Bronx rapper, who hopped on the remix of her smash, “Tomorrow.” This would eventually lead to Glo, Meg, and Cardi collaborating on the “Wanna Be” remix from Glo’s “Ehhthang Ehhthang” mixtape and subsequently joining her on tour. In recent weeks, the ladies sat down for Instagram’s “Close Friends Only” podcast. All three women have displayed a united front to their supporters, something not always seen in female hip-hop.
