The new generation BMW 1 Series – F70, is finally here!
BMW has officially launched the fourth generation of the BMW 1 Series and honestly, it seems to me that it is the most successful in terms of design so far, although if we take the logo off the hood, we don’t think it would be a BMW, right? True, unfortunately.
The new generation BMW 1 Series (codename F70) was officially launched yesterday, and below we present more information related to design, improvements, technical specifications, technology, and performance.
I’m not a BMW 1 Series fan, but this model is really nice, and I can’t say that I wouldn’t be happy to drive one as soon as possible. We will ask BMW for a demo car and return with an Automotivesblog brand review soon.

Design of The New BMW 1 Series
Regarding the design aspect, we can notice the new signature of the position phase from the front lights, which we are not used to yet, because we have not seen these positions of lights on other models in the past.
The design of this 4th generation BMW 1 Series is very bold, with more aggressive headlights and taillights, and the straight and prominent lines on the hood, as well as on the sides, make this “baby” BMW look very aggressive.
Unfortunately, the design line approached by the people from BMW is completely different from the design line we have been used to for years, but we live in the present and in the future, and changes come from all sides, not only in the auto industry. We have wars, we have the economic crisis, and not long ago we went through the health crisis, so we are used to all kinds of changes on all levels.
Returning to the topic, the design of the new BMW 1 Series is very aggressive, and well-drawn, but not very BMW-like.
Regarding the interior, you can see a major improvement compared to the previous generations, the design, the quality, as well as the infotainment part, are grade 10+ (this is my opinion as a car enthusiast). I didn’t like the interior of the previous generations at all, so now I can say that I’m happy to see that BMW put the cherry on the cake with the new BMW 1 Series.
Performance
The most powerful version is the BMW M135 xDrive model, which has a 4-cylinder engine under the hood that develops 300 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds, WOW!
On the wheel side, you will get 19-inch forged light-alloy wheels on the M135 xDrive model and an M braking system.
Of course, BMW offers you the opportunity to purchase the M Sport Package as well as BMW M Performance Parts for all BMW 1 Series variants.
CO2 Emissions & Consumption Stats
It seems that the new BMW 1 Series variants have very low CO2 emissions, which is very good, and the consumption of these variants is very low. Congratulations to BMW for creating these high-performance variants with low emissions and fuel consumption.
