Mr. Gnome recently returned with their latest single christened “Mind’s Gone”, with this new offering bringing us closer to the release of the Cleveland-based duo’s much-awaited upcoming, A Sliver of Space, which is scheduled to drop on 27th September via El Marko Records. “Mind’s Game” follows the outfit’s singles “Fader” and “Nothing and Everything“.
Mr. Gnome are continuing to push the envelop with their sophisticated art rock sound. Their songs are always mesmerizing, and that is what we expect of the forthcoming LP.
Speaking about this new single, the band says, “‘Mind’s Gone’ is a song that was written at the height of one of the darkest moments in our lives. I was really struggling from the loss of two very special people in our lives, and it was all really fucking with my head and leaving me feeling like I had lost a part of myself that I wasn’t sure I could ever get back. During this time, I was doing a lot of solo writing sessions, and this song popped into my head out of nowhere – the full song, full melodies, lyrics and music. It was as if something else was writing this song through me, like my antenna was tuned into the right frequency at the right moment.“
