Trailer RV Renovation Before and After – Busy But Healthy

As promised, I wanted to share all the details for our trailer RV renovation before and after. If you’ve been following along on social media, we recently decided to purchase an older trailer and renovate it to suit our tastes. I decided to go with a cozy boho inspired theme, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I didn’t have a chance to show you many of the before pictures. As soon as the trailer came home, Brent began ripping things out, so most of the “before” photos are from the listing. So I’ll share a few of those.

Its a 2008 Spree SuperLite 318 K-Z. Its a hitched trailer (not a 5th wheel), is about 35 feet long with 2 slide outs (bunk room and living/dining room).

Like many trailers, it used a lot of dark colors, questionable styling (who uses valances like this anymore?) and interesting furniture patterns.

We really wanted to brighten it up, use more neutral colors with some modern touches.

WANT TO SEE A VIDEO TOUR?!  I posted a full video tour on IGTV if you want to check that out!

Ok, now for the links to everything. It took me a while to gather all the links to what we purchased for the trailer. Please note, some of these are affiliate links. I might make a very small commission if you click through to purchase (thanks for your support! Its much appreciated!).

I purchased quite a bit from Amazon, as there was some great finds! Everything I purchased from Amazon I included in my Amazon.ca Store Front under RV RENOVATION (affiliate links).

OTHER LINKS

Love this rug that I’m using in the living room, its from Ruggable.

Kamran Coral Rug

IKEA

I did purchase quite a few things from IKEA, larger items and decor. Here’s a list:

EKET Cabinet (for the cabinet in the bunk room)

Kallax Shelf & Baskets (for under the bed in the main bedroom)

Bunk Bedding and Main Bedroom Bedding

Gold wall sconces in bedroom

Baskets on shelf in main bedroom, gold tea light holder in bedroom, blanket on bed

FINNALA Leather Loveseat in Bomstad/Golden Brown

TORARED Lamp Shade in Kitchen with the SKAFTET black light base

BASTSJON Shower Curtain

STRUCTUBE

I purchased all the accent pillows locally from this store (on the main bedroom bed, cushions on the couch and the dining room bench). Some are also available on their website.

HOME DEPOT

We purchased the backsplash tile from here, and the panel boards used in the entertainment wall. It looks like brick, we just painted it. The gold kitchen pulls are from here too, and the vessel sink for the bathroom.

Much of the wood used for the trim, headboard is from Home Depot too. The wood used is Poplar. We liked the natural state of it, so just used a clear coat Varathane sealer over top.

PAINT COLOURS

White (all the walls in the trailer, cabinets are same color just in a cabinet paint): Benjamin Moore Snowfall White

Grey (for the entertainment wall/bathroom door): Sherwin Williams Grizzle Grey

FLOORING

I purchased the floors locally from King of Floors in Surrey, BC. Decided on a 4.2mm vinyl plank floating/click together floor. It has an underlay also.

Brand is SPC Kings Stonelock, color is Mahler. Unfortunately, it looks like this one is no longer in stock there at the moment.

COUNTERTOPS

We used off-white quartz stone for the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. I don’t know the style/color as it was an off-cut we got at a discount. We used StoneHenge Marble and Granite in Port Coquitlam, and they are great, we’ve used them in the past.

HOME SENSE

A few other random decor items are from Homesense which I can’t link unfortunately.

If you’ve made it this far….bless you!  I hope this is helpful if you’re doing a reno, and of course if you have any questions, leave a comment and I’ll answer 🙂
