100 Nights of Hero: Nicholas Galitzine to Star in Fantasy Romance Movie

Nicholas Galitzine (Cinderella, Bottoms) has been tapped to portray one of the lead roles in the upcoming 100 Nights of Hero movie based on Isabel Greenberg’s fantasy romance graphic novel of the same name. The 2016 novel was inspired by the classic One Thousand and One Nights folktale collection.

Galitzine recently starred in Amazon MGM Studios’ romance comedy movie The Idea of You with Anne Hathaway. He will next be seen in the sequel to 2023’s Red, White & Royal Blue, where he’ll be reprising his role as Prince Henry opposite Taylor Zakhar Perez’s Alex Claremont-Diaz. Galitzine has also been recently cast to portray He-Man in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel’s newest live-action Masters of the Universe movie.

Who will Nicholas Galitzine play in 100 Nights of Hero?

According to Deadline, 100 Nights of Hero is a medieval-set story following two married women who are in love with eachother, Cherry and her maid Hero. Cherry’s wicked husband challenges his friend Manfred with a bet. If he can seduce Cherry within 100 nights, he can have his castle and wife. Little do they know, however, that Cherry and Hero have already devised a plan to fend off Manfred by distracting him with captivating stories throughout the course of 100 nights.

Galitzine is expected to portray the role of Manfred, who’s described as a “lecherous villain.” The film will be directed by Julia Jackman (Bonus Track), with Helen Simmons and Stephanie Aspin’s Erebus Pictures producing the project. At the moment, Galitzine is the only confirmed cast member. Production is expected to begin later this month.

The novel’s official synopsis reads: “In the Empire of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is married to Jerome, a wicked man who makes a diabolical wager with his friend Manfred: if Manfred can seduce Cherry in one hundred nights, he can have his castle — and Cherry. But what Jerome doesn’t know is that Cherry is in love with her maid Hero. The two women hatch a plan: Hero, a member of the League of Secret Story Tellers, will distract Manfred by regaling him with a mesmerizing tale each night for 100 nights, keeping him at bay. Those tales are beautifully depicted here, touching on themes of love and betrayal and loyalty and madness.”
